Limpopo premier Sello Moloto will deliver his state of the province address in Lebowakgomo today, focusing on the economic performance of the province.
Moloto's point of reference will be the provincial growth and development strategy which outlines agriculture, mining and tourism as key pillars of the provincial economy.
Moloto is also expected to give a report to the people of Limpopo on the infrastructure development in the province in the context of the 2010 World Cup soccer tournament.
Polokwane is one of the cities scheduled to host some of the World Cup matches during the showpiece.
Another noteworthy point will be the construction of the R4billion De Hoop Dam in Sekhukhune, expected to start later in the year.
The dam will provide water to thousands in Limpopo and also generate water for several mines in the area of Burgersfort.
The premier is also expected to address issues regarding social delivery such as housing, education, crime and social security.
On crime, Moloto will speak about the ritual killings and the interventions already done in an attempt to stop the age-old problem.
Though there was public dissatisfaction about the shoddy work done by the police's appointed task team, Moloto will, however, try to convince the public that the provincial government was in charge and that the police will do their best to deal with the perpetrators of ritual attacks.
