Tau had wanted to sell pre-paid electricity cards when he bought the machine.
"It never worked. I had to return it to them after they promised to refund me," Tau said.
After he had pursued the company for months without success, Tau asked Consumer Line for help.
Thusong had no excuse to withhold repayment to Tau, who was then refunded his R3500 last Friday - after Consumer Line's intervention.
