Vusi Msani, 19, of Hibberdene in KwaZulu-Natal, will appear in the area's magistrates' court today in connection with the gruesome murder of Jabulani Dlamini.
It is alleged Msani stabbed Dlamini, 40, several times before slitting his throat with a knife last week.
Police spokesman Superintendent Zandra Hechter said neighbours witnessed the brutal killing.
"Dlamini was stabbed in the neck and chest before his throat was slit. He was also stabbed in the back," she said.
