A popular radio presenter appeared in court yesterday charged with theft and assault.
"I did not steal anything or assault anyone. I'm clean," said Ligwalagwala FM presenter Thembi "Miss T" Madubandlela, pictured, 28.
Miss T landed up in court after a tiff about rentals.
Her tenant allegedly did not pay his R3300 rent a month for her townhouse in Summer Place, Nelspruit.
When she demanded it, the man gave her a cheque that bounced .
"He then gave me his TV set as surety and promised to bring the money within days. The next thing I got a call from the police to tell me that charges of theft and assault had been laid against me," Madubandlela said yesterday.
Last week another Ligwalagwala FM presenter, Buhle Ndlovu, allegedly assaulted a woman who came to demand R100 that she was owed by Ndlovu's mother.
Madubandlela and three others appeared in the Nelspruit magistrates' court. She pleaded not guilty and the case was postponed to March 12.
