Steve "Chippa" Lekoelea is available for any team that needs his services after he was given his clearance by Maritzburg United.
"I'm a free agent and ready to negotiate with any team that is interested in my services" said the 27-year-old linkman, famed for his ability to score free kicks.
"There is no substance to the claims I faked a career-threatening injury when I joined them. It is also not true that I was not performing to the best of my ability," he said.
But Farouk Kadodia, United's chairman, emphasised yesterday that they had released Lekoelea because they felt he was under-performing.
