Another suspect has been arrested in the rape and murder case of Soweto schoolgirl Thato Radebe. This brings the number of people arrested to four.
The man appeared in the Protea magistrates' court with two others yesterday.
There was drama at the court when journalists and the public were barred from the proceedings.
Thato was raped and killed at Emdeni, Soweto, at the weekend.
The Bedfordview High School pupil's battered body was found by a passer-by on Saturday. Liquor bottles and two condoms were found near her body.
Nqobile Fana Sibisi, 18, was arrested near the scene and appeared in the Protea magistrates' court on Monday.
Nqobile's case was postponed to February 26.
Two other suspects aged 20 and 21 were arrested on Tuesday and a fourth suspect was arrested yesterday morning.
According to senior prosecutor Adriaan Lamprecht the media has been barred from court proceedings until the case is finalised in terms of section 154 of the Criminal Procedure Act.
Earlier journalists and the public were ordered to move to another courtroom where proceedings were to resume and magistrate Herman Badenhorst told reporters that one of the suspects was making a confession relating to the charges.
But court officials later denied that a confession was made.
The case was postponed to today pending further investigations.
The accused will face charges of murder and rape.
Lamprecht refused to supply journalists with the names of the three other accused and warned that their names should not be published.
