R1,3m to jack up car theft fight

The South African Insurance Association (SAIA) yesterday gave Business Against Crime SA (Bacsa) a cheque for R1336million to help fight vehicle crime.

The South African Insurance Association (SAIA) yesterday gave Business Against Crime SA (Bacsa) a cheque for R1336million to help fight vehicle crime.

SAIA chief Barry Scott said Bacsa had contributed greatly to the reduction of vehicle theft.

Bacsa chief Siphiwe Nzimande said they took a proactive approach by setting targets and defining what needed to be done to achieve them. - Sapa
