Kwaito star Arthur Mafokate's son is recovering at the Lesedi Private Clinic in Soweto after he fell from the back of a horse at the weekend.
Lesego Ngidi allegedly slipped from the horse while training at his grandfather's horse-training school.
Lesego's grandfather, Enos Mafokate, a well-known horse rider and trainer, owns the Soweto North Riding School.
Eleven-year-old Lesego is the son of Sowetan Jacky Ngidi, who dated the self-proclaimed king of kwaito some years ago.
Mafokate yesterday confirmed that his son had been admitted to the hospital on Saturday.
Speaking to the Sowetan yesterday, Mafokate said: "I am just praying Lesego gets well soon so he can go back to school. The doctors wanted to keep him for another day or two to observe him."
"Both families went to pray for my boy at the hospital . but he is a fighter, and he will pull through."
A distraught Enos Mafokate was also saddened by the incident.
"I feel very bad about what happened to my grandson. My dream was to see him taking on the legacy because others could not follow in my footsteps. I am crossing my fingers that he recovers in time to go back to school," he said.
