Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
Kelly Khumalo has been deflowered but the snag is that she does not know it. Or so she claims.
Her husband-to-be, Prosper Mkwaiwa, was adamant that they had done it. But Kelly sings a different tune.
"Prosper and myself have not touched each other. Everything that comes with marriage we have not touched. I stay in my house in Northgate and Prosper stays at his own place," says Kelly.
This contradicts sharply with what her hubby-to-be claimed.
"Yes, we have done it," said a bold and proud Prosper, but he would not be drawn into the details of when or where.
However, a few minutes later, the couple, who seemed to have not spoken to each other before talking to Sowetan, made an about turn and called to deny Mkwaiwa's statement.
"I made a mistake. I thought you were asking me about something else. Please do not write that," said Mkwaiwa.
The only thing the couple seemed to agree on was their wedding date, scheduled for December.
On Wednesday the couple launched their new recording label, ProKelly, at the trendy Primi Piatti restaurant in Rosebank.
One could have been forgiven for mistaking the do for their wedding.
The usually scantily-dressed Kelly looked decent in a long, snow-white dress matching the-soon-to-be husband's white suit.
She sported a white-gold diamond engagement ring.
Kelly, who was running the show, told the media they were engaged. The two held hands and shared jokes.
Their much-publicised relationship started after Kelly dumped Speedy, allegedly for refusing to introduce her to his parents.
