Confirming the deaths, the company said two miners had died last Thursday while attending to a railway line.
A third was injured and taken to hospital, said spokesman Amilia Soares.
The other two miners absconded from their underground workplaces and were found dead over the weekend.
NUM spokesman, Mike Fafuli, said a memorial service for the four would be held today. - Sapa
