Jomo Cosmos owner-coach Jomo Sono this week made something that has never been heard of in the history of the local game.
Sono pledged R1000 to each of his players in spite of Ezenkosi's 0-2 defeat by Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.
Sono's gesture is unprecedented because a coach would fume at his players for losing, especially if that defeat affected his team's chances of challenging for the league championship.
He said he decided to give his players bonuses after fighting gallantly against Phunya Sele Sele, despite ending on the receiving end.
