Just when Nobuhle Ndlebe, 35, thought she could at last bury her twins, the government dropped another bombshell.

Lindelani and Lindokuhle died soon after birth at Natalspruit Hospital in Ekurhuleni on October 26 2005.

Ndlebe was preparing for her babies' funeral this weekend.

Earlier yesterday Ndlebe was overcome by emotion when she saw Lindelani's body at a private mortuary in Germiston.

She then went to Natalspruit Hospital, where Lindokuhle's remains were kept.

"I arrived at the hospital and all I got was a blanket and a small baby's hat," she said.

"I was told that my child's body had decomposed to nothingness. I cried and cried."

Department spokesman Vusi Sibiya said yesterday: "Ndlebe should communicate through her lawyers."

When told that Ndlebe did not have lawyers, Sibiya said: "We have a claim from her lawyers that was sent to us last year."

Ndlebe said: "I don't know anything about any lawyers or any claim. Tell me how I could afford that when I cannot even afford to bury my children."
