Crime control puts criminals behind bars. Gun control is foolish, meaningless window- dressing to appease a dumb and illiterate public. Only the foolish and those with child-like faith believe that collecting guns, while criminals operate with impunity, will decrease crime.

Almost daily we hear of people unjustly deprived of their vermin and rabbit guns, inheritances, heirlooms and self-defence guns while criminals murder, rape and rob with impunity. Only the government and the SAPS seem to be unaware of the worldwide failure of gun control in reducing either crime or the supply of guns to criminals.

Will the government and the SAPS please exert as much effort as they have in collecting guns, in arresting and punishing criminals.

People want to see criminals, not piles of guns, behind bars.
