Edward Tsumele

Lovers of jazz will today sample great sounds from some of this country's tried-and-tested musicians - vocalist Gloria Bosman and saxophonist McCoy Mrubatha - at Monsoon Lagoon at Emperor's Palace. The show starts at 8pm.

Mrubatha will perform for the first time after a personal tragedy late last year.

Bosman, who trained in opera at the University of Tshwane uses her voice to good effect in jazz renditions. She is versatile, gifted with a good voice and her charisma is bound to impress her old fans while winning new admirers.

Bosman's repertoire is a good balance between jazz and African folklore music, ensuring that it is accessible to a varied audience.
