The case against a man accused of forcing his wife to have sex with a dog has been postponed to Tuesday by the Lichtenburg magistrate's court, North West police said yesterday.
Superintendent Louis Jacobs said the accused, Johnny Rademeyer, 52, who has pleaded not guilty, allegedly threatened to strangle his 48-year-old wife if she did not submit to his demands.
Rademeyer was released on bail of R200.
About 300 members of the community, including ANC Women's League members, protested outside the magistrates' court.
Katy Pretorius, one of the protest's organisers, demanded that the magistrate responsible be removed.- Sapa
