Exxaro to buy Namakwa Sands

Exxaro Resources, the biggest black-owned mining group, is buying the Namakwa Sands project from Anglo American subsidiary Anglo Operations for just more than R2billion, positioning it as one of the world's largest suppliers of titanium dioxide. It said it would also pay R180million for a 26percent stake in Anglo's Black Mountain lead and zinc mine and Gamsberg zinc project. -Reuters
