This was revealed yesterday by department regional commissioner Nontsikelelo Jolingana in East London.
"We will take disciplinary action against the correctional services officials and the offenders who were involved," she added.
As part of Operation Vala, late last year department officials made surprise visits to a number of prisons in a bid to root out rampant corruption, negligence and maladministration. - Vuyolwethu Sangotsha
