Let each of us prevent crime

We hear about rapes, suicides, murders and assault with intent to do serious bodily harm. What do we do after hearing these things? We blame the government and say it is not doing enough to stop crime.

What if we, as a nation, do something to prevent crime from happening in the first place?

Someone who kills another person for a cellphone is truly not in a good state of mind. Neither is an old man who rapes his own granddaughter. This starts with lack of love for one another. If you truly love your granddaughter you cannot rape her and ruin her life. You cannot kill your brother just to have the same shoes that he is wearing.

Every day people say the police are not doing enough to take criminals to jail. Let us, as people, recruit all these people to church and try to forgive one another.

Let us get rid of this curse for the love of materialistic possessions. If you see another brother struggling why not give him a hand? Giving a hand does not mean you have to give all you have because the Bible says you can only give in proportion to what you have.

My South African people, let's not try to cure crime. Rather, let's prevent it.
