Coming in the wake of the recent completion of South African Football Association (Safa) House, it must be a relief to football bosses considering the pessimism ignited by Australia.

Safa House will be used by Fifa leading to the World Cup and during the tournament.

Tensions have been high since some questioned South Africa's ability to host the cup.

Football officials must be careful about what they say to avoid sowing confusion. For instance, we were repeatedly told that rebuilding Soccer City would begin this month, but now we are told it will begin on February 1.
