Rich leaders of Opec are greedy

I cannot comprehend the sheer greediness of the Opec leaders. There is currently a slump in the oil price and they are cutting oil production with the intention of "stabilising the market".

I cannot comprehend the sheer greediness of the Opec leaders. There is currently a slump in the oil price and they are cutting oil production with the intention of "stabilising the market".

Why don't they act as swiftly when the price increases? Is it because the oil market is only in balance when Opec is making a profit when there is a surplus?

In essence, stabilising the market is not bad, but it becomes unfair if there is no consistency in its application. It is clear that Opec's objectives are to gather wealth by all and any means. If Opec makes hefty profits, it should share some of it with the consumers.

Would the supply have been increased if weather conditions were not favourable to pump oil?

All I can say is that at present, the organisation's president, Mohammed al-Hamli, and all his members, are driven by nothing other than greed.
