TITANS TIPPED TO TAME LIONS AT SEDGARS PARK

Log leaders the Titans are fancied to beat the Highveld Lions in a four-day SuperSport series match at Sedgars Park in Potchefstroom today.

This game is one of three second-round matches scheduled to start today.

The Titans, who are unbeaten in five games, have secured 74,62 points from four wins and a draw in the longer version of the game.

Playing in front of their supporters, the pacesetters are expected to continue where they left off at the end of the first round.

The second-placed Lions, who have improved tremendously, have amassed 55,30 points from two wins, two draws and one loss from five games.

Gordon Parsons, the Lions coach, said: "Though the Titans are a tough and consistent team, my boys are ready to end their unbeaten record.''

At Newlands, basement club the Cape Cobras hope to register their first win of the season at the expence of the Fidentia Warriors.

The Diamond Eagles, who are third on the log, have a date with the Dolphins at Sahara Park in Durban.
