Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
Legendary jazz musician Gerard Khoza, who recently died under mysterious circumstances, will be buried today.
Khoza disappeared in November and his body was later found by police under the Nasrec bridge near Soweto.
"We still don't know what happened, but we think he committed suicide," said a family friend, Trevor Ngwane.
The multi-talented instrumentalist will be buried at the St Margaret Catholic Church in Diepkloof.
His career started at the age of eight when he shared the stage with jazz giant Zakes Nkosi. He released numerous albums and also performed - with his father and two brothers - for a band called The Monks.
Khoza also helped form the multiracial band, National Wake, which challenged apartheid rule. - Kamogelo Seekoei
