Kwaito artist Zombo has resurfaced with a new ragga dance album after living in obscurity for more than four years.
Zombo, whose real name is Godfrey Tebogo Ndlovu, will release his latest offering, The General, next week.
He is on location, shooting a video for one of the songs on the album, I Will Rock You, which is expected to be flighted at the end of this month.
"It's good to be back and this time I am here to stay. I was trying to put my life back together and to get a new lease on life, and with my latest album I think I have been able to do that.
"Though I was not in the limelight for a while, I was working behind the scenes with Arthur, Chomee and Sgonondo.
"This album is for my people because, if you know Zombo, this is what I have been doing since I was with Abashante," he said.
The General is a 15-track album and features songs with Zombo and Chomee. It will definitely put Zombo's music career back on track after rumours did the rounds that he was hooked on drugs.
Zombo is a member of the 999 stable of the famed Arthur Mafokate and was a member of the now almost-forgotten Abashante.
