Following dwindling album sales, traditional gospel group Masibuyele Ku Jehova are making a determined comeback to the top of the music heap.
Over the past five years, the all-female band has had a huge drop in sales but they seem to have turned the corner.
With their new CD, Phezulu Enkosini, the ladies are clawing their way back to the top.
The group is: Berlina Nkosi, Anah Thabethe, Elizabeth Mahlangu, Lizzy Khoza, Anah Mabuza and Zodwa Mashigo.
They have reworked traditional songs such as Golgotha, Ofana Naye and Inkululeko to add vibe to the CD.
Mahlangu describes their music as a cappella music fused with imbube and gospel sounds to give it a unique sound.
Masibuyele Ku Jehova was founded in 1988 in Nelspruit and began by singing in local churches and at weddings.
They soon became immensely popular, partly because they were an all female group and also because they gave gospel music their own unique treatment.
