LAGOS - Nigeria will take on arch-rivals Ghana in a friendly planned for February in London, Sani Lulu, chairman of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), has announced.
"The Eagles will play a friendly against Ghana on February 7 as part of the team's build-up to the Nations Cup qualifier against Uganda in March," said Lulu.
In the last clash between the two, Nigeria beat Ghana's Black Stars by a solitary goal at this year's African Nations Cup in Egypt.
An earlier friendly involving the two teams was cancelled at the last minute after Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen insisted that the timing was poor for his team.
Nigeria lead Group 3 of the qualifying tournament for the 2008 Nations Cup to be staged in Ghana with six points after two rounds.
Uganda are two points adrift in a group that also includes Niger and Lesotho. - Sapa-AFP
