KUALA LUMPUR - More than 21000 people have been evacuated in Malaysia after continuous rains caused the worst floods in years.
Adnan Mohamad Yassin, a relief centre officer, said there have been no casualties.
"We always prepare ourselves to face the worst scenario during the monsoon season, but this year it is really bad, the worst in my experience," he said.
Adnan said 126 villages were affected by the rains, which had flooded villages, highways and residential areas in eight of Johor state's nine districts.
Evacuees were placed in schools, town halls and hotels, he said. - Sapa
