Phiri died in a car accident last weekend.
"It was an honour to have had an opportunity to see Yvonne growing and developing in netball before she joined the national teams," said Ravele.
"She was a disciplined, energetic, focused and very respectful young girl. Being the brilliant player that she was, without any doubts she was destined to reach higher places.
"I have no doubt that Yvonne was going to put her community on the map of South Africa and internationally because of her character." - Sowetan
