Griffith Sekgobela, a Limpopo music promoter, has accused popular kwaito star Doc Shebeleza of failing to pay him the R15 000 allegedly owed to him.

Sekgobela said Shebeleza, who is also chairman of the African Musicians Against HIV-Aids and Kwaito Nation, is in debt to him for failing to perform at the Phalaborwa Carnival Festival in September.

He said he paid the kwaito star in advance to secure his performance and that of other two stars, Chippa and Mzabiya.

"I am very angry with Shebeleza because I had already publicised his show. When I asked him for my money he takes me from pillar to post," said Sekgobela.

But Shebeleza said he is waiting for Sekgobela's bank details so that he can pay him.

"I have never missed a show in my life. The guy was supposed to have settled the balance before we came."
