ANC must work together

I think the infighting and divisions in the ruling party, the ANC, is because South Africa doesn't have a major opposition party. Ahead of the first democratic elections in 1994 the ANC had strong opposition from the Pan African Congress, the Inkatha Freedom Party, the National Party and so on.

I think the infighting and divisions in the ruling party, the ANC, is because South Africa doesn't have a major opposition party. Ahead of the first democratic elections in 1994 the ANC had strong opposition from the Pan African Congress, the Inkatha Freedom Party, the National Party and so on.

Every ANC member worked together to make sure they garnered enough votes to win the 1994 elections. Since then the ANC support base has grown and they don't have a strong opposition party that has threatened to unseat them. Floor crossing gave them even more seats.

Since then cracks have started to show and there is no harmony in the organisation. We don't need the ANC to pull in different directions for personal gain. We need them to work together to make this country a better place .
