Company boosts games

Batho Batsho Bakopane (B3) undertakers will help the Ncholo family to stage the yearly Tshepo Ncholo Memorial Games that are billed for December 17 to 30 in Tsakane.

The Ekurhuleni undertakers have pledged R30 000 towards staging the tournament.

The Ncholo trust fund has put aside R100000 for the tournament that is held in memory of the late Tshepo Ncholo, who died five years ago.

Coordinator Machouka Sijadu was full of praise for the undertakers, who came on board this year. The first edition of the tournament was financed from the trust fund last season.

Sijadu said the aim of the tournament is to fight crime and create awareness around the scourge of HIV and Aids.

The tournament will feature men's and women's softball, netball and soccer teams.

The first prize in the soccer competition is R20000, while it the prize is R8000 for the winning softball team and R800 for the netball winners .

Teams from around the Ekhuruleni townships of KwaThema, Duduza, Tsakane, Katlehong, Thokoza and Vosloorus are expected to take part in the tournament.
