Struggling Moroka Swallows registered their fourth win of the season when they beat the inconsistent Maritzburg United 2-1 in a drama-filled Castle Premiership match at Harry Gwala Stadium yesterday.

Drama began in the first minute when United goalkeeper Aime Kitenge watched as the ball rolled into the net. He probably thought it was going wide.

Five minutes later Sandile Ndlovu missed a sitter after he failed to connect with a cross from Michael Mogaladi. Ndlovu ended up inside the net and not the ball.

In the 20th minute Graham King equalised with a powerful shot.

Mogaladi was red-carded in the 40th minute when he handled a ball that was going in.

Swallows were awarded a penalty and Mame Niang converted from the spot.

In the 50th minute referee Charl Theron sent Tshweu Mokoro off for a second bookable offence.

l Benoni Premier United's incredible display continued yesterday when they beat title chasers Bidvest Wits 2-1 at Mehlareng Stadium in Tembisa, reports Danny Magudulela.

Abayoni Adebayo gave the Rabbits an early lead when he scored in the 15th minute after a square pass from Sello Mhlambi.

Marcos De Jesus equalised for Wits in the 43rd minute after intercepting a back pass from Mhlambi.

The home side were awarded a penalty after July Mahlangu was rough tackled by Kagiso Denge in the 83rd minute and Mhlambi scored. United finished the game with 10 men after Beaufort Tshabalala was set off.
