A cracker is expected between FC AK and Free State Stars in Eldorado Park when the two Mvela Golden League giants meet in a top-of-the-log clash at 3pm tomorrow.

Bahumi are expected to go for broke to avenge a 1-2 defeat to Ea lla Koto in the final of the historic Baymed Cup in Kimberley.

Stars are on song and their performance this season suggests they should beat FC AK tomorrow.

Mike Mokoena's side are on top of the log, leading second-placed FC AK by two points.

Attempts to get comments from the hosts' technical staff were unsuccessful yesterday.

Stars' coach Musa Abdullahi warned yesterday that his charges were not going to Eldorado Park for a picnic but to fight tooth and nail for a win.

The Nigerian mentor, who has done wonders at Stars this season, was quick to stress that they had forgotten about their triumph over Bahumi in the cup final.

"We are preparing for a new game and are working on a strategic game plan to win on Saturday [tomorrow]," he said yesterday.

FC AK coach Ian Palmer will pin his hopes on players such as captain Edelbert Dinha, Dan Semake and Denis Lota.

Abdullahi's side also has enough depth to win.

Stars' midfield will be marshaled by Bafana Bafana linkman Siphiwe Tshabalala and skipper Duncan "King" Lechesa.

Witbank Spurs, who walloped Western Province United 2-0 in Cape Town on Wednesday, host PJ Stars in Ackerville on Sunday.
