Teams campaigning in the Mpumalanga Vodacom Men's League claim that soccer in their region is poorly administered.

Local co-ordinator Sabbath Koali resigned and his post still has to be filled, they say .

This has resulted in the region's administration being handled in Johannesburg, 300km away from the previous administration office in Nelspruit.

The Mpumalanga teams claim they have not been supplied with sponsored kits this season.

Player registrations and cards, fixtures and other administrative matters are in disarray, they claim.

Sipho "Spykos" Nkosi, of Barberton City Stars, said: "We lost six points in our opening two games because we failed to honour our fixtures. We were not issued with playing cards because of poor administration."

Elliot Ngutshane, of Yorkcor United, said the situation was dragging down the standard of football in the area.

But Selokela Masetle, Safa's competition manager, denied that the league was poorly administered.
