Mashabane was appointed to the R500 000 a year position a month ago. His decision to resign from the position follows a decision by the Pretoria high court last Friday that he was guilty of 22 charges of sexual harassment.
Yesterday Mashabane said he was resigning because having him as an adviso would adversely affect the public's perception of Moloto's office.
When stepping down, Mashabane continued to plead his innocence and vowed to "leave no stone unturned to clear his name".
We wish him well. He clearly has to move mountains.
