Michael Jackson is throwing a special Christmas party for his loyal Japanese fans next month, but they will need to spend about R23 800 to secure an invite.
The December 19 bash for as many as 1 600 guests is being marketed as marking the 25th anniversary of the release of Jackson's classic Thriller album
- though it actually first hit shops 24 years ago in December 1982.
The 48-year-old Jackson will not perform at the party, but will join fans in listening to his albums and watching gospel singers on stage.
He said: "I look forward to visiting Japan again, and greeting my fans and friends." - Wenn
