Silver Stars are wary of meeting Ajax Cape Town on Sunday after the Urban Warriors' 2-1 win over favourites Moroka Swallows in the Telkom Knockout Cup at Greenpoint Stadium on Wednesday night.

But the Tycoons, who host Ajax at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Phokeng at 3.45pm, take comfort in the fact they are playing at home.

"Obviously, Ajax are spirited by their success over Swallows and they will want to maintain their momentum on Sunday," Thamaga Mokgophi, Stars' general manager, said yesterday.

Ajax coach Muhsin Ertugral will miss some of his key players on Sunday because of suspension. The absence of Russel Mwafulirwa and Mkhanyiseli Siwahla paves the way for Nathan Paulse and Bryce Moon to start the match.

"This is an opportunity for those who have not been playing regularly to prove their ability. I'm convinced they will manage to stand up and be counted against Stars," he said.

Hareaipha Marumo carries the responsibility of steering his team to victory against Ajax.
