Jackman plucks pubic hairs to bawl on screen

Hollywood's favourite Wolverine, Hugh Jackman, has an odd way of preparing for teary film scenes - he tugs at his pubic hair.

Jackman, who shot to fame after his roles in the X-Men series, admitted he struggles to conjure up tears for movies. So he has taken fellow Australian Geoffrey Rush's advice and inflicts pain on himself just before a director calls "action".

He revealed he used this odd technique to conjure up tears for his new movie The Fountain.

He said: "Geoffrey had to cry in a scene in a play so just before he'd walk out on stage, he'd pluck out nose hairs and get that first moment of a tear and start crying. Pubes work better."
