The alleged assault as told by detainee George Maduna:
l The first thing those policemen did was cover my face with a plastic bag. I could barely breathe.
l They then handcuffed and forced me to lie on my stomach. One sat on my shoulders and one on my lower back. He pulled the handcuffs away from my body while others pulled my legs.
l I was asked if I wanted to cooperate or s***. I said cooperate. They asked how much I got from the loot, where it was and where the weapons used in the robbery were. I said I didn't know what they were talking about.
l I was punched, kicked and slammed against the wall several times. While I was being beaten, one came in with a man who was supposed to identify the heist suspects.
l I think he could not identify me because they later said they were going to release us, but not that day as we were injured.
