No action has been taken against any Home Affairs official over the delay in processing Kabelo Thibedi's identity document.
No action could be taken because the delay was not their fault, the department said yesterday.

Thibedi applied for an ID in early 2003. He received an ID in April this year but returned it because his date of birth was incorrect.
Masapu said that Thibedi had filled out the ID application form "incorrectly".
