After winning the maiden MTN Domestic Championship, Nashua Cape Cobras are looking forward to the SuperSport Series that gets under way tomorrow.

The Capetonians beat Fidentia Warriors by 18 runs in a thrilling final watched by a capacity crowd at Sahara Park, Newlands, at the weekend.

Russel Adams, Cobras' manager, praised his charges for producing a splendid show that earned them a R50000 first prize.

The runners-up walked away with R20 000.

"Our victory against the Warriors has motivated the boys to start their SuperSport Series on a positive note this week,'' said Adams.

Interestingly, they are facing the wounded Warriors at Buffalo Park in East London in what is bound to be an explosive affair, starting from tomorrow until Sunday.

With home-ground advantage the Warriors are expected to avenge their defeat against the limitedovers champions.

Nashua Dolphins face the Highveld Lions in Pietermaritzburg, while Nashua Titans host Gestetner Diamond Eagles at Centurion.
