GAZA CITY - The armed wing of the ruling Palestinian Hamas movement said yesterday that its militants would continue to fire rockets on the Israeli town of Sderot until its inhabitants leave.
"Only the departure of residents from Sderot will stop the rocket fire," said Abu Obaida, a spokesman for Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades.
"There are no limits on our rocket attacks and we will prove that in coming days. We advise residents of Sderot to evacuate," he said.
Six people have been killed in Palestinian rocket attacks against the depressed southern town of 30000 residents since the second Palestinian uprising broke out in September 2000. - Sapa-AFP
