A meeting organised by embattled Chief Nyalala Molefe Pilane of Bakgatla Ba Kgafela for this Saturday has infuriated the tribe.

The tribe is angry and wants to expose the chief's alleged wrong- doings. They also want to stop him from signing deals with Angloplat until the court has ruled on all his pending cases.

The chief hopes to convince the tribe on Saturday to sign a BEE deal with Angloplat.

Spokesman for the tribe, Matlapeng John Pilane, said: "He ignores the fact that he is facing 45 charges, including 42 of theft and also of defrauding the Land Bank of almost R13 million."

The chief and tribal councillors, Kobedi Pilane, 54, Koos Motshegwa, 48, and Simon Marobe, 47, will appear in the Mogwase regional court in North West in February.
