Politicians, business people and professionals will take part in the yearly golf tournament that will be hosted by the West Orlando Golf Club at Modderfontein Country Club today.

The event is to raise funds for the West Orlando clubhouse that is not in good condition at the moment.

Among the players who will be taking part in the 18-hole event will be Bantu Holomisa, leader of the United Democratic Movement.

Top prospect Mantoa Khoza will also be taking part.

According to her golf tutor, Landemthini Mayeza, Khoza is a good golfer who won the Eyeball Business Marketing Golf Challenge at the ERPM Country Club in Boksburg on debut last December.

"The win was a breakthrough for Khoza, who won the event convincingly," he said. "She's a competitive golfer and she is likely to surprise a lot of people in the near future."

The field will comprise 150 players and tee-off time is 11.15am. There will be dinner at the prize-giving ceremony.
