MADISON, US - Gay and lesbian faculty and staff at the University of Wisconsin-Madison said they might quit their jobs because of the state's passage of a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages and civil unions.
The university doesn't offer health insurance for domestic partners. Lawmakers have repeatedly rejected attempts to have this changed. Some employees have vowed to lobby for domestic-partner benefits, but current benefits for gay couples will remain in place unless a court orders otherwise. - Sapa
