A number of extraordinarily beautiful recordings by the late, incredibly talented Lebo Mathosa have come to light.

Three weeks after her tragic death, CCP Records is working around the clock to put the secretly-recorded tracks into a soon to be released album, to be titled Dance To My Music - Music My Way.

Effortlessly, Lebo's sensual voice soars through the Queen classic, Another One Bites The Dust. She goes on to probe and tease, retiring into her playful- kitten-in-a- true-lioness mode.

For someone who stormed the showbiz industry as a pop icon, the material that will soon dominate the charts during the festive season would have turned the entertainment industry inside out. Her voice suits the Billie Holiday-like material like a hand in a glove.

Barely able to contain his excitement, CCP's general manager, Orrack Chabangu, said: "It's not surprising Lebo went on a mission to record the music whenever she got a chance. She wanted to prove herself to an industry that had always treated her as a dancer.

"I'm sure she was waiting for the opportunity to drop the bombshell when she died," said Chabangu.

The company was ecstatic about its find and would do everything to make sure the entire country shared and celebrated it.

"We have the family's blessing to run with the project. The gods and Lebo must be smiling on us. When we approached Queen for permission, they instantly gave their blessing when they heard it was Lebo's project. They have promised to feature the track on their website," said Chabangu.

A few weeks ago, Mathosa, who appeared on Afro Cafe paying tribute to her mentor, was quoted as saying: "I'm not a kwaito singer. I'm a singer. I'm a versatile singer. I can sing Indian music, Latino music, rock music. And that is what I want people to hear."

That is exactly what the sassy lady from the dusty streets of Daveyton has done. She may not be here to toast a job well done, but her legions of fans will undoubtedly salute her genius.
