Kelly Khumalo's public appeal for a hubby yesterday drew mixed reactions - from men and women.

The gorgeous Afro-pop singer said she was ready to lose her virginity in search for a hubby.

And while a number of male hopefuls pleaded with Sowetan for her contact numbers, some callers were far from impressed.

"Kelly should be ashamed of what she is doing.

"If she is really looking for a man she should do that without advertising herself.

"She must go to clubs and cinemas and she will meet Mr Right," said one caller.

Fusi Motoung said: "I am tempted to air my views and say that Kelly is troubled. Her widely publicised claims that she was still a virgin probably helped her to sell her music. But that hasn't, and might not, get her a genuine lover."
