The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) yesterday distanced itself from a Sunday Times report that the Scorpions were in possession of a diary linking National Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi to Glenn Agliotti, referred to as the "landlord" of a smuggling ring.
Makhosini Nkosi, the NPA spokesman, said the report was written in a "dishonest way", which created the impression that the information was derived from the Scorpions, or that they had confirmed the contents of documents in their possession.
