The South African Prisoner's Organisation for Human Rights (SAPOHR) yesterday said Kabelo Thibedi's five years sentence was racially motivated.
SAPOHR president Golden Miles Bhudu said his organisation was planning to start a campaign to highlight the justice system's "inconsistency".
"As far as I am concerned the sentence was racial. Crimes against white people seem to get harsher sentences. South Africa is still racially divided," he said. -Pumza Fihlani
