During this year's Cherry Festival in Ficksburg, Free State, land with views reminiscent of Switzerland will go on sale.

Aucor will sell two farms, one of which is ideal for tourism.

The farm Schoonzicht, in the foothills of the beautiful Maluti mountains, covers almost 500ha.

On it is a spacious family home and 14 self-catering units.

On the agricultural front, Schoonzicht also boasts several well-established sub-divided farms.

"Make no mistake, this is God's own country," Aucor director Franz Bobbert said.

"What's more, because this land is to go on auction, it is an excellent property investment opportunity and could be picked up for potentially well below its market value."

The second farm to go under the hammer is Maxico.

It offers just more than 170ha of varied grazing, of which 110ha has high-yield potential.

Maxico also boasts a spacious family home with five bedrooms.

Both farms will be auctioned on Friday, November 17, at 10am.

The auction will be held on the Maxico property, about 15km from Ficksburg on the Clocolan Road.

A deposit of 10percent of the successful bid price will be charged per property.

The balance is payable within 14 days.

For more information, phone Franz Bobbert on 051-433-2872 or 083-630-5532.
