The problem - a squad of players to make up the Rest of South Africa to play against India on November 16 at Willowmoore Park in Benoni.

The dilemma is compounded by the fact a number of players in the squad may have to represent their franchises in the finals of the MTN Domestic Championship on November 17.

The squads for the Rest of South Africa and the Proteas are as follows:

Rest of SA v India (day-night) on November 16 at Willowmoore Park in Benoni: Hashim Amla, JP Duminy, Alviro Petersen, Vernon Philander, Albie Morkel, Ashwell Prince (Captain), Jacques Rudolph, Arno Jacobs, Dale Steyn, Roger Telemachus, Alfonso Thomas, Thandi Tshabalala, Johan van der Wath, Morne van Wyk, Neil McKenzie, Arno Jacobs, Albie Morkel, Alfonso Thomas, Goolam Bodi and Garnett Kruger.

The South African one-day international (ODI) squad is as follows:

Graeme Smith (Captain), Jacques Kallis (vice-captain), Loots Bosman, Mark Boucher (wicketkeeper), AB de Villiers, Boeta Dippenaar, Herschelle Gibbs, Andrew Hall, Justin Kemp, Charl Langeveldt, Andre Nel, Makhaya Ntini and Shaun Pollock. - Sapa
